Background

This Resolution will amend the Prince George’s County Fiscal Year (“FY”) 2026 Annual Action Plan for Housing and Community Development by approving the reprograming and reallocation of one million, one hundred seventy thousand dollars ($1,170,000) in Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) funds, from Annual Action Plans approved in prior fiscal years, to the Prince George’s County Housing Rehabilitation Fund (the “Fund”), for use by an existing eligible activity, the Housing Rehabilitation Assistance Program (the “Program”) and the reprogramming of one hundred thirty thousand dollars ($130,000) in Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) funds, from Annual Action Plans approved in prior fiscal years, to the Housing Rehabilitation Assistance Program Administration (the “HRAP Administration”), an existing eligible activity, to support the Program.

This Resolution requires at least one (1) public hearing because the proposed amendment to the FY 2026 Annual Action Plan would constitute a “substantial change” under the FY 2026-2030 County Citizen Participation Plan, as described in the County’s FY 2026-2030 Consolidated Plan.
