As constituents bear with the rising cost of living, utility costs in the county are uniquely high.
In fact, it’s reported that Prince Georgians are spending around $300 each month on electricity (which is 11% higher than the national average for utility costs).
As utility providers provide more service to the local grid, those costs are projected to increase as supply costs increase.
In 2026, the County Council also passed a resolution approving requesting an investigation into the abnormally high utility costs.
