Title
An Act authorizing the County Executive to dispose of certain surplus real property that is no longer needed for stormwater management purposes and establishing
that the price to be paid is the same price paid by the County at the time of acquisition
Background
The property in question was obtained from the owner as a condition of subdivision to serve the subdivided property’ stormwater management. The former owner abandoned its proposal for building home and resold the property to members of the family from which it was purchased. The owners successfully applied to MNCPPC under the law to abandon the subdivision and seek the return of the Parcel A stormwater management area.
The proposed bill declares the subject property surplus to the County’s needs, establishes the purchase price to be the same as the price paid by the County at the time of acquisition and authorizes the County Executive to return the property to the assigns of the former owner.
