Background Necessitating Legislation:
This resolution will increase the Universal Design for Housing Waiver Request Fee by twenty percent (20%) and the Technology fee currently five percent (5%), up to a Technology fee total of ten percent (10%).
These fees are required to cover DPIE’s costs of processing and reviewing an applicant’s universal design for housing waiver request.
Pursuant to Section 2-253.63 of the Prince George’s County Code, the Director of DPIE or County Council shall have authority to change the fees as deemed necessary. Amendments to the Table of Fees shall be subject to legislative review and approval by the County Council, by resolution, after notice and public hearing pursuant to Section 2-253.63.
