Title

Proposed letter to Elizabeth M. Hewlett, Chairman Prince George’s County Planning Board, regarding continuation of Reservation Plats for Rights of Way, which are due to expire on June 30, 2020.

Background

When reservation plats are due to expire, Section 24-141 of the County Code requires that prior to the expiration date, the Planning Board shall provide an opportunity for the County Executive, the County Council, and any municipality within which such property is located, to comment upon such renewal.  It is further required that consent from the property owners be obtained prior to any continuation beyond the first three (3) years.  At its meeting on February 6, 2020, the Planning Board authorized staff to send mail-back forms to the property owners to determine their intent to continue the reservations.
