Title: A RESOLUTION CONCERNING ZONING-MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS-DELEGATION OF POWERS for the purpose of reapproving the delegation of certain zoning and land use powers to Municipal Corporations, said authority originally codified as Sections 27-924 and 27-925 of Subtitle 27, The Zoning Ordinance of Prince George’s County, being also Subtitle 27 of the Prince George’s County Code (2019 Edition, 2020 Supplement), and enacted without substantive change as Section 27-3308(b) of the replacement Zoning Ordinance, as an Act of the County Council of Prince George’s County, Maryland, sitting as the District Council for that part of the Maryland-Washington Regional District in Prince George’s County; and declaring that all current land use and zoning authority conferred upon certain Municipal Corporations by previous action of the Council shall continue without interruption from the effective date of the replacement Zoning Ordinance.

Background

This Resolution reapproves, without substantive change, the delegation of certain zoning and land use powers of the District Council to municipal corporations in the Regional District in Prince George's County, as originally codified at Sections 27-924 and 27-925 of the old Zoning Ordinance (2019 Edition, 2020 Supplement), and recodified within the new replacement Zoning Ordinance as Section 27-3308(b), as set forth in CB-13-2018.
