Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING CONTRACT APPROVALS for the purpose of approving a multi-year contract for bus services for Prince George’s County, Maryland.

 

Background

The legislation is required to pursuant to Section 819 of the Prince George’s County Charter. Section 819 requires personal service contracts exceeding an aggregate of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) per contractor or an aggregate of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) for all other multiyear contracts must be approved by resolution of the County Council upon notice and public hearing.

 

Through a competitive procurement, the bus contract is being awarded to RATP Dev PGC, LLC effective July 1, 2019.  This contract is to engage RATP Dev PGC, LLC for bus services including but not limited to management and operation of a 28-fixed-route, fixed-schedule, public transit system, also referred to as The Bus.

 

There is no fiscal impact, funds for bus services were budgeted in FY 2019 and FY 2020.
