Title

 AN ACT CONCERNING IMMOBILIZED VEHICLES AND IMPOUNDMENT for the purpose of providing legislative intent for this legislation; providing for immobilizing vehicles; providing for the impoundment of an immobilized vehicle under certain circumstances; and generally related to immobilizing vehicles and impoundment.

 

Background

This bill clarifies that the Police Department or their designee(s) and the Revenue Authority are authorized to immobilize a motor vehicle on public and private property. The bill provides that if a motor vehicle remains immobilized for fourteen (14) business days, it will then be impounded.
