Title A Resolution concerning the State of Maryland Neighborhood and Community Assistance Program for the purpose of expressing approval of the project submitted by The Red Devils to the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development for participation in the Department’s Community Investment Tax Credit Program Background The Red Devils, a Maryland nonprofit organization, is dedicated to funding support services that improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients and their families. The Red Devils has proposed to undertake a project known as the “Treatment Support for Maryland Breast Cancer Families,” in which The Red Devils would fund support services which improve the health and welfare of families living with or being treated for breast cancer in Priority Funding Areas. The services include transportation assistance to and from medical treatments, family support services, medical services and treatment-related therapies in conjunction with their partnerships with area hospitals. To support its efforts, The Red Devils is requesting $30,000 in Community Investment Tax Credits. Local legislative support is a requirement to participate in the Program. The State of Maryland requires local legislative support for participation in the Program.
