Title A Resolution establishing the Youth and Gang Violence Prevention Task Force to review and evaluate the County’s violence-prevention programs and their impact upon County youth and recommend appropriate changes, including measurements of success, to ensure a well-coordinated and systematic violence-prevention effort in the County. Background The proposed resolution establishes a Youth and Gang Violence Prevention Task Force to review and evaluate the County’s violence-prevention programs and their impact upon County youth and recommend appropriate changes, including measurements of success, to ensure a well-coordinated and systematic violence-prevention effort in the County. The task force will identify and quantify various Federal, State and local government programs and programs operated by other non-governmental organizations dealing with youth violence. The task force will make its recommendations to the Council on or before September 30, 2008, in order to identify progress and resources for implementation in the 2010 fiscal year budget and work plan.
