Title

AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING MEDICAL CANNABIS USES-DISPENSARY for the purpose of amending the minimum distance from certain areas which the boundary of property used as a medical cannabis dispensary shall be located, and adding a minimum distance requirement for Day Care for Children and Recreational Program, Before- and After- School uses in the C-O and C-S-C Zones.

 

Background

This bill will amend the minimum required distance for medical cannabis dispensary uses in the C-O and C-S-C Zones from 500 feet to 300 feet from schools, parks, and certain residential zones in the County.

 

 

10/17/2017:  Prior to introduction, Council Member Taveras moved, and Council Chairman Davis seconded, that the effective date clause within Section 2 of the legislation be amended to allow the bill to take effect on the date of its adoption. The motion carried 6-0 (In favor:  Council Members Davis, Franklin, Glaros, Harrison, Taveras and Turner;   Absent:  Council Members Lehman, Toles and Patterson.).  CB-103-2017 (DR-3) was introduced.
