Background

This bill will establish a Clean Corridors and Rapid Response Program within the Department of Public Works and Transportation to target designated high-visibility and high-traffic areas for rapid clean-up. The Program will require the Department to focus on areas designated by Council resolution to immediately remove all illegal dumping, litter, and other debris from the designated area, engage in proactive removal, identify and implement beautification measures in the designated area, and identify illegal dumping and litter prevention strategies in the designated area.
