Background
This bill establishes a Military Installation Overlay (M-I-O) Zone in the County, provides procedures for the classification of property in the M-I-O Zone for approval by the District Council, and sets forth use restrictions, development regulations, site plan provisions, and permitting requirements for the M-I-O Zone in the Zoning Ordinance for the protection of the public safety, health, and welfare of citizens in the surrounding areas of an M-I-O Zone and to further protect the air operations at Joint Base Andrews.
