Background
On July 11, 2007, the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission Prince George’s County Planning Department staff provided a briefing to the Council’s Planning, Zoning and Economic Development Committee on a request from Andrews Air Force Base (AAFB) through the Department of Defense, to partner with AAFB in the preparation of a Joint Land Use Study (JLUS). The Planning Department has agreed to be the sponsor for the study and the County Council will be included in the membership of the Policy Committee. This resolution pledges the Council’s support of and participation in the JLUS.
