A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE LISTING OF LOCAL QUESTIONS ON THE 2022 BALLOT for the purpose of designating the order and form in which local questions shall be placed on the 2022 ballot and matters related thereto.
Background
Section 7-103(c)(3) of the Election Law Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland provides that the County Attorney shall prepare and certify to the State Board of Elections the order and form in which local questions shall be placed on the ballot. This resolution requires the County Attorney to certify the order and form of the local questions, as directed and designated by the County Council in this resolution.
These ballot questions include five bond enabling bills for: Prince George's Community College Facilities Bonds, County Buildings Bonds, Library Facilities Bonds, Public Works and Transportation Facilities Bonds, and Public Safety Facilities Bonds.
These ballot questions include five charter amendments for: compensation of the County Executive and County Council members, gender neutral language in the Charter, support for local and minority businesses, County competitive bidding,and the County Council Member Residency Requirement.
