Title

AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING RESIDENTIAL ZONES - ACCESSORY USES - HOME OCCUPATION for the purpose of amending the definition of Home Occupation within the Zoning Ordinance and permitting the use in the residential zones of Prince George's County, under certain specified circumstances.

 

Background

This bill will amend and clarify the definition of Home based businesses in the Zoning Ordinance to include qualifiations, including certain business owner residency requirements, maximum floor area restrictions regulating the issuance of a Use and Occupancy Permit for accessory, home-based businesses in order to better assimilate said home-based businesses with, and to protect the respective rights of, property enjoyment held by the existing, residential uses in surrounding communities within Prince George's County.
