Title

AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING NONCONFORMING USES - CERTIFICATION - APPROVAL REQUIREMENTS for the purpose of amending the statutory criteria set forth in the Zoning Ordinance required for certification of nonconforming uses and revocation for noncompliance for the purpose of safeguarding the public health, safety, and welfare of citizens and residents in Prince George's County.

 

Background

This bill will incorporate additional approval criteria in the Zoning Ordinance, for certification of nonconforming uses, including compliance with certain County Landscape Manual requirements for screening or enclosure of trash collection and recycling facilities and compliance with any offstreet parking and loading requirements ordinarily applicable for the use set forth of Part 11, and provide for certain retroactive applicability to existing nonconforming uses, for purposes of eliminating blight and safeguarding the public safety, health, welfare of County residents.
