Title An Act amending the Prince George’s County Building ordinance, adopting certain amendments to the 2012 Edition of the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, International Energy Conservation Code, and International Residential Code for One and Two Family Dwellings, and amending certain sections to include modifications as it relates to building standards. Background This legislation adopts the 2012 International Building Codes and provides local amendments to be used for construction in Prince George’s County. The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development requires the adoption of the latest version of the International Codes under COMAR, 05.02.07, Maryland Building Performance Standards. The adoption of the International Building Codes is needed in anticipation of construction permits for several important County projects. The new Codes will assure that construction is performed under the most recent life safety regulations and construction standards. 10/23/2012: CB-45-2012 (DR-2) was amended on the floor prior to introduction as follows: 1. On page 60 starting on line 13. after starting strike after "Sec. 4-258" through line 15 "Table C402.2.1.1" 2. Renumbering SEctions following trhough page 16, line 15. CB-45-2012 (DR-3) was introduced.
