Title A Resolution expressing the County Council’s support of proposed legislation to allow voting representation in the United States House of Representatives for the District of Columbia. Background The 110th Congress is considering proposed legislation that will provide for the treatment of the District of Columbia as a Congressional district for purposes of representation in the House of Representatives. The District of Columbia House Voting Rights Act of 2007 (H.R. 1905) passed the House of Representatives on April 19, 2007 and has been referred to the United States Senate Committee on Finance. The proposed resolution expresses the Council’s support for legislation establishing voting representation in the House for the District of Columbia.
