Title A Resolution declaring the intent of the Prince George’s County Council to take immediate steps to identify regional climate change impacts, to implement a county plan to prepare for and build resilience to those impacts, and achieve the 2050 climate stabilization goal. Background Many cities and counties across the United States have adopted policies and strategies in an effort to address problems associated with global warming. Local leaders are developing and implementing innovative energy solutions that reduce dependence on oil, benefit public health, and save taxpayer dollars. This resolution declares the County Council’s intent to take immediate stops to help the federal, state, and local governments within our county to achieve the 2050 climate stabilization goal.
