A Resolution concerning the 2001 Water and Sewer Plan (April 2007 Amendment Cycle) to change the water and sewer category designations within the 2001 Water and Sewer Plan.
Background
The 2001 Water and Sewer Plan provides for three cycles of category change requests annually to amend the Plan. This Resolution represents the April 2007 Cycle of Amendments.
The 2001 Water and Sewer Plan was adopted by CR-62-2001, and amended by CR-9-2002, CR-36-2002, CR-56-2002, CR-65-2002, CR-7-2003, CR-34-2003, CR-65-2003, CR-15-2004, CR-41-2004, CR-69-2004, CR-8-2005, CR-43-2005, CR-75-2005, CR-7-2006, CR-21-2006, CR-41-2006, CR-64-2006, CR-81-2006, and CR-16-2007. The April 2007 Cycle contains nine requests for a category change.
Three (3) category change requests are in the Blue Plains sewershed, two (2) are in the Western Branch sewershed, two (2) are in the Piscataway sewershed and two (2) are in the Mattawoman sewershed.
Environment Article, Title 9, Subtitle 5, of the Maryland Annotated Code sets procedures for amendments and revisions to the Plan. At least 30 days prior to the public hearing on the amendments, the County Council must submit to the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission and Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission a copy of the resolution for their recommendations.
10/30/2007: On a motion by Council Member Dernoga; seconded by Council Member Harrington CR-46-2007 (DR-2) was amended on the floor to change acreage from 392 to 488 on 07/BP-01 Konterra Town Center East. Motion carried 8-0 (Absent: Council Member Knotts). CR-46-2007 (DR-3) adopted.
