Title An Act deleting the Electrical Code requirement for color coding of armor or metal shell on Type AC, HFC and MC electrical cables installed in buildings of Type I and II construction Background This Bill deletes Section 9-107.01 (a)(3) which requires the color coding of armor or metal shell type AC, HFC and MC electrical cables in buildings of Type I and II construction. This legislation responds to industry concerns about the inability to meet this requirement completely and the limited number of suppliers. This color-coding provision was added to the County Electrical Code when the County adopted the National Electrical Code (2002 ed.) pursuant to CB-66-2003.
