Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING AUTHORIZING SPECIFIC LAW ENFORCEMENT DUTIES FOR THE OFFICE OF THE SHERIFF OF PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY for the purpose of approving specific law enforcement duties for the Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff to collaborate on responding to domestic violence calls for service in Prince George’s County Police Districts III and VIII in accordance with Section 2-330 of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article, Annotated Code of Maryland.

 

Background

Section 2-330 of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, sets forth the law enforcement duties of the Prince George’s County Sheriff and deputy sheriffs specifically as they relate to a memorandum of understating with the Prince George’s County Police Department. This Resolution will approve the Memorandum of Understanding to combat domestic violence in Prince George’s County through October 1, 2026.
