Title: AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING HOTEL OR MOTEL USES IN COMMERCIAL ZONES for the purpose of amending the commercial table of uses in the Zoning Ordinance to prohibit Hotel or Motel uses on commercial property located within a certain distance of land used for installation and operation of high-voltage equipment at substations uses that were existing on a certain date for purposes of electrical generation, transmission, and distribution in connection with providing public utility service in the County by a regulated public utility, in furtherance of the public safety, health, and welfare of the citizens and residents of Prince George's County.

Title

AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING HOTEL OR MOTEL USES IN COMMERCIAL ZONES for the purpose of amending the commercial table of uses in the Zoning Ordinance to prohibit Hotel or Motel uses on commercial property located within a certain distance of land used for installation and operation of high-voltage equipment at substations uses that were existing on a certain date for purposes of electrical generation, transmission, and distribution in connection with providing public utility service in the County by a regulated public utility, in furtherance of the public safety, health, and welfare of the citizens and residents of Prince George's County.

 

Background

This bill provides the table of permitted uses for commercial zones to  prohibit Hotel and Motel  uses in the C-S-C (Commercial Shopping Center) Zone thhat are within 1,000 feet of an existing power distribution plant or substation, in furtherance of the the public safety, helath, and welfare of the citizens and residents of Prince George's County.
