Title

AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING APPLICATION-SPECIFIC REVIEW AND APPLICATION-SPECIFIC REVIEW PROCEDURES AND DECISION STANDARDS - USE AND OCCUPANCY PERMITS - PRE-APPLICATION NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING for the purpose of including a pre-application neighborhood meeting requirement, subject to all required notification requirements, to the application procedures for Use and Occupancy permits in the County.

Background

Currently, there is not a notice and hearing opportunity for communities to be informed of use and occupancy permit applications pending in the County. Under the prior Ordinance, the Council legislated mandatory notifications for pending and issued Use and Occupancy permits in the County. That provision was unfortunately not carried forward in the current Zoning Ordinance. This bill will reinstate the notification requirement and enhance notice and meeting opportunities to increase transparency and assist with community engagement between stakeholders and emerging businesses throughout the County.
