Title
A Resolution concerning the State of Maryland Community Legacy Program for the purpose of approving the application and receipt of financing for a Neighborhood Intervention Plan and Project proposed by OpenDoor Housing Fund to be financed either directly by the Department of Housing and Community Development of the State of Maryland or through other departments or agencies of the State of Maryland
Background
OpenDoor Housing Fund, formerly Washington Area Housing Trust Fund, has proposed a Neighborhood Intervention Plan and Project and is requesting funding in the amount of $500,000 from the State of Maryland’s Community Legacy Program. The Community Legacy funding will allow OpenDoor to provide financial assistance to community development organizations to finance the predevelopment and acquisition of affordable housing projects in priority funding areas in Prince George’s County, thereby contributing to the reinvestment and revitalization of the area. The State of Maryland requires local legislative support for each Community Legacy Program application in unincorporated areas.
