Title

AN ACT CONCERNING WILDLIFE AND ANIMAL CONTROL for the purpose of creating a study and fee for protecting wildlife, general health, safety, and welfare of the citizens impacted by wildlife within the county, and the creation of a joint action plan to limit, control, and protect wildlife within the county.

Background

This legislation seeks to create a wildlife displacement study when new lands are developed within the County. The study will research information about the costs associated with the displacement of wildlife and create a proportional fee schedule in relation to those costs. This legislation will also create a wildlife action plan that will be jointly created by the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission and Animal Control to limit, control, and protect wildlife within the County.
