Background

This is a Charter Amendment bill  to propose an Amendment of Section 313, Charter of Prince George's County to provide for the repeal of the County Auditor’s five-year term, with five-year term discretionary renewals, to and provide that the County Auditor may be removed for cause by a two-thirds vote of the full Council. The proposed ballot question will appear on the ballot at the 2024 General Election on November 5, 2024.
