Title An Act to delete the County Code requirement for color coding of the armor or metal shell on Type AC, HFC and MC electrical cables installed in buildings of Type I and II construction. Background The bill deletes Section 9-107.01 (a) (3) which requires a color coding scheme for the armor or metal shell of electrical cables of type MC, AC and HFC when utilized in buildings of Type I & II construction. The action is being proposed in response to concerns raised and substantiated with regard to the inability to meet this requirement completely and with regard to limited suppliers who manufacture cable of this nature. This code section was an amendment by the County and is not a part of the adopted 2002 National Electrical Code. THIS BILL WAS NOT ENACTED.
