A RESOLUTION CONCERNING COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS, SHERIFF OFFICIALS - SALARY SCHEDULE “S-O” SCHEDULE OF PAY GRADES for the purpose of amending the Salary Plan of the County to reflect wage and benefit modifications of Sheriff Officials.
Background
This Resolution amends the Salary Plan for Sheriff Officials in the Office of the Sheriff with the following modifications: merit increases during Fiscal Year 2014; modification to the uniform wage scale during Fiscal Year 2014; sick and annual leave disposition upon separation; hold harmless provision; comprehensive deputy sheriff pension plan; and insurance premiums.
A fiscal impact statement will be provided by the Office of Management and Budget.
The proposed salary plan amendments were submitted to the County Council by the County Executive on September 20, 2013. Pursuant to Section 903 of the Charter, if the Council fails to take final action on the proposed salary plan before November 19, 2013, the salary plan shall stand approved.
