Pursuant to State law, Prince George’s County authorized the use of Speed Camera Monitoring Systems to regulate traffic in the County in 2021. The County Council is holding a briefing and seeking to obtain public comment on more potential locations for the installation of speed monitoring systems prior to their installation.
The Prince George’s County Department of Public Works & Transportation and Police Department have developed a list identifying additional locations as potential speed camera installation sites in compliance with Section 21-809 of the Transportation Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
