The District 6 County Council office is vacant, effective April 15, 2022, due to the resignation of the incumbent. Pursuant to County Code Section 2-104(j), “When there is a vacancy in the office of a Council Member that occurs during the last year of a term, a majority of the remaining members of the Council shall appoint a qualified person to fill the vacancy within thirty (30) calendar days.”
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Individuals must be a resident of Council District 6 and a registered voter in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
