Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS for the purpose of amending the Salary Plan of the County to reflect the terms of the labor agreement by and between Prince George’s County, Maryland and the Deputy Sheriff’s Association of Prince George’s County, Inc.

 

Background

This is the companion legislation to the bill which approves the collective bargaining agreement between Prince George's County, Maryland and the Deputy Sheriff’s Association of Prince George’s County, Inc. for Fiscal Years 2017 and 2018.  This Resolution reflects modifications to the agreement.  A fiscal impact statement will be provided by the Office of Management and Budget.

 

The proposed salary plan amendments were submitted to the County Council by the County Executive on May 25, 2017.  Pursuant to Section 903 of the Charter, if the Council fails to take final action on the proposed salary plan before July 24, 2017, the salary plan shall stand approved.

 

NOTE: CR-47-2017 is retroactively effective to July 1, 2016
