Title A Resolution concerning Economic Development Week for the purpose of expressing Prince George’s County’s support for declaring the week of October 15-19, 2012 as Economic Development Week in Prince George’s County Background The Maryland Economic Development Association, the largest organization in Maryland, representing economic development professionals at State and County levels, and in the private sector, has initiated a statewide observance of Economic Development Week in Maryland. Governor Martin O’Malley will be declaring the State of Maryland’s recognition of Economic Development Week, and all 23 Counties and Baltimore City are being asked to do the same. This observance is intended to recognize and offer support for the work of economic development professionals in attracting and growing the economy of the State and its Counties.
