AN ACT CONCERNING REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY for the purpose of establishing a public input and notification process for disposition of Redevelopment Authority property and projects, and generally relating to the Redevelopment Authority in Prince George's County.
Background
CB-35-2013 amends the Subtitle 15B of the County Code for the purpose of establishing a public input and notification process for disposition of Redevelopment Authority property and projects. Staff oriented the Committee along with all legislative comments on CB-35-2013.
The Committee heard from Eric Brown, Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), from Redevelopment Authority Board Members David C. Harrington and Dr. Glenda F. Hodges, as well as from Brad Frome and Kerry Watson, on behalf of the County Executive, in opposition to CB-35-2013. After discussion, the Committee held CB-35-2013.
The Office of Law finds the CB-35-2013 is in proper legislative form and saw no legal impediments to its adoption.
The Office of Audits & Investigations found that there will be no adverse fiscal impact on the County as a result in enactment of CB-35-2013.
