Title

(SUBDIVISION BILL) - AN ACT CONCERNING PRIVATE ROADS AND EASEMENTS for the purpose of permitting the Planning Board to approve private roads and alleys in the C-M (Commercial Miscellaneous), C-S-C (Commercial Shopping Center), C-O (Commercial Office), I-3 (Planned Industrial/Employment Park), R-55 (One-Family Detached Residential), R-R (Rural Residential), and R-T (Townhouse) Zones under certain circumstances.

 

Background

The Planning Board is currently permitted to approve subdivisions containing private roads in specific zones, under a number of circumstances.  This legislation allows the Planning Board to approve private roads and alleys within certain subdivisions in the C-M, C-S-C and R-R Zones.

 

NOTE:  The County Executive returned this legislation to the Clerk of the Council unsigned.  Pursuant to provisions of the Land Use Article, the Prince George’s County Executive must sign

all subdivision bills in order to take effect.
