Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING MARYLAND-NATIONAL CAPITAL PARK AND PLANNING COMMISSION for the purpose of approving certain appropriation transfers between certain projects in the Fiscal Year 2022-2027 Capital Improvement Program.

Background

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) Capital Improvement Program includes a Fund for Capital Project Contingencies (FCPC) Project #4.99.0269. This project authorizes the M-NCPPC to approve appropriation transfers up to $250,000 for unanticipated costs and expenses related to closing out ongoing Commission construction projects. Pursuant to Section 18-109 of the Land Use Article, the Commission may not make or authorize an expenditure of funds exceeding 110% of the available approved budget without County Council approval.  M-NCPPC is requesting the County Council's approval of a transfer in the amount of $1,714,671.50 from the Fund for Capital Project Contingencies Project #4.99.0269 to the Southern Area Aquatic and Recreation Complex (SAARC), Project # 4.99.0157.  The Commission's transfer request is for the purpose of providing costs to close out the SAARC Project which involved the resolution of outstanding/unresolved change order requests for the project.  This resolution approves the Commission's transfer request in the Capital Improvement Program.
