Title

AN ACT CONCERNING SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS--PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITIES ADEQUACY--STANDARDS--DISCRETIONARY WAIVER OF FACILITIES MITIGATION REQUIREMENT BY COUNTY for the purpose of repealing the provision for a discretionary waiver, by Resolution of the County governing body, for compliance with any public safety facilities mitigation requirements within the County Subdivision Regulations.

Background

This bill serves to repeal Chapter 26, 2020 Laws of Prince George's County (CB-020-2020), now codified at Section 24-4505(b)(3) of County Code, thereby eliminating the express authority for the County governing body to waive any public safety facilities mitigation requirement imposed by Sections 24-4508 (Police Facility Adequacy) and 24-4509 (Fire and Rescue Facility Adequacy) of the County Subdivision Regulations in Title 24 of the County Code.
