Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS, INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS, AFL-CIO, LOCAL 1619 (FIRE FIGHTERS, PARAMEDICS, AND FIRE FIGHTER/MEDICS) SALARY SCHEDULE Y, SCHEDULE OF PAY GRADES for the purpose of amending the Salary Plan of the County to reflect the terms of the labor agreement by and between Prince George’s County, Maryland and the International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO, Local 1619 (Fire Fighters, Paramedics, and Fire Fighter/Medics).

 

Background

This is companion legislation to the bill to approve the collective bargaining agreement between Prince George’s County, Maryland and the International Association of Fire Fighters, Local 1619, AFL-CIO (Fire Fighters, Paramedics and Fire Fighter/Medics), for Fiscal Years 2017 and 2018.  This resolution reflects modifications to the agreement.  A fiscal impact statement will be provided by the Office of Management and Budget.

 

The proposed salary plan amendments were submitted to the County Council by the County Executive on May 5, 2017.  Pursuant to Section 903 of the Charter, if the Council fails to take final action on the proposed salary plan before July 4, 2017, the salary plan shall stand approved.

 

NOTE:  CR-32-2017 is retroactively effective to July 1, 2016.
