Background

Section 27-3502 of the Zoning Ordinance provides procedures by which the District Council may approve initiation and consideration of certain minor amendments to approved comprehensive plans in the County. Accordingly, this Resolution will direct initiation of a minor amendment to the 2006 Master Plan and Sectional Map Amendment for the Henson Creek - South Potomac Planning Area  and direct that a joint public hearing be held on the proposed minor amendments on June 13, 2023, in accordance with the prescriptions of the state and local zoning laws.
