Title A Resolution concerning the State of Maryland Neighborhood and Community Assistance Program for the purpose of expressing approval of the project submitted by the Alice Ferguson Foundation to the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development for participation in the Department’s Community Investment Tax Credit Program Background The Alice Ferguson Foundation (“AFF”), a nonprofit organization based in Prince George’s County, Maryland, has applied to the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development for approval of the “Potomac Watershed Study Center” project for participation in the Community Investment Tax Credit Program. AFF is seeking tax credit allocations in the amount of $50,000 to support its efforts to demolish an existing structure and construct a day-use education building, an overnight lodge, a wetland boardwalk with challenge trail, and renewable energy system in Accokeek, Maryland. This project will remedy issues related to an aging overnight lodge and improve educational opportunities at Hard Bargain Farm and for students from priority funding areas within Prince George’s County. The State of Maryland requires local legislative support for participation in the Program.
