Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING ZONING ORDINANCE TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS - EXTENSION OF TIME FOR ACCESS TO PRIOR ORDINANCE for the purpose of approving, as a legislative enactment of the District Council having the force and effect of law, an extension of the time for applications to be approved and considered under the prior Ordinance from April 1, 2024, to April 1, 2026.

 

Background

On April 1, 2022, the replacement Zoning Ordinance, being also Subtitle 27 of the Prince George’s County Code, became effective. The effectuation of the new Zoning Ordinance included a two-year, renewable transition period for review of development applications using the prior Ordinance. This Resolution will extend the time for access to review and approval of zoning applications using the prior Ordinance from April 1, 2024, for an additional two years, to April 1, 2026.
