A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE MARYLAND-NATIONAL CAPITAL PARK AND PLANNING COMMISSION - APPOINTMENT AND GEOGRAPHIC BALANCE for the purpose of approving the appointment of Dorothy F. Bailey as a commissioner of the Prince George’s County Planning Board of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, and providing a description and appropriate explanation of the resulting geographic balance in accordance with requirements of State law.

Background

Section 15-103 of the Land Use Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, sets forth the procedures for appointment of commissioners to the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. Its provisions require, in its approval and appointment of members from Prince George’s County, that the County Council and the County Executive attempt to provide reasonable geographic balance with respect to the commissioners’ places of residence in the County. Accordingly, this Resolution addresses the geographic distribution and balance of the membership of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and approves the appointment of Manuel R. Geraldo a commissioner of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission Prince George’s County Planning Board. The reappointment of Manuel R. Geraldo maintains reasonable geographic balance of the five (5) members of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission from Prince George’s County, in accordance with State law.

Notwithstanding your indemnification obligation, the County reserves the right to defend any such claim and you agree to provide us with such reasonable cooperation and information as we may request.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: The County makes every effort to update this information on a daily basis. Because Property information is continually changing, the County makes no expressed or implied warranty concerning the accuracy of this information.
