Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE LOCAL IMPACT GRANT FUNDS MULTIYEAR PLAN for the purpose of transmitting the Local Impact Grant Funds Multiyear Plan to the County Council for review and approval.

 

Background

Pursuant to CB-88-2015, this resolution will approve the Local Impact Fund Multiyear Plan for FY 2025 - FY 2027.  The spending plan details the planned use of video lottery terminal taxes from FY 2025- FY 2027.  The FY 2025 spending plan totals $9,736,000 and allots funding to the following areas:

Joan’s House ($2,000,000), Excellence in Education Foundation for PGCPS ($215,000), The Village network ($50,000), Peer Forward ($50,000), 100 Black Men of Prince George’s County ($50,000), Southern Prince George’s Community Charities ($50,000), Second District Community Development Corporation ($4,250,000), Prince George’s Community College - Financial Empowerment Center ($200,000), Police Department ($484,500), District 8 Young Adult and Jobs Program ($200,000), County Council Administration-audits and program services (275,000) and various Community Impact Grants ($1,911,500).

The proposed multi-year spending plan is subject to change based upon the County’s annual budget process.
