Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING CLIMATE ACTION COMMISSION for the purpose of extending the term of the Climate Action Commission to January 31, 2022 and extending the reporting time for the Climate Action Commission’s Climate Action Plan on or before January 15, 2022.

 

Background

CR-7-2020 was adopted by the County Council on June 23, 2020, establishing the Climate Action Commission (hereinafter referred to as the “Commission”), a sixteen (16) member group, established for the purpose of developing a Climate Action Plan to prepare for and build resilience to regional climate change impacts, and to set and achieve climate stabilization goals. This resolution extends the term of the Climate Action Commission to January 31, 2022 and extends the reporting time for the Climate Action Commission’s Climate Action Plan, as follows: the Commission shall issue a draft for a 30-day public comment period by  October 31, 2021 and issue a final plan with a public comment addendum to the County Council by January 15, 2022.
