Title

AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING HOTELS OR MOTELS IN COMMERCIAL ZONES for the purpose of amending the Zoning Ordinance requirements for hotels or motels in the C-M (Commercial Miscellaneous), C-S-C (Commercial Shopping Center), and C-R-C (Commercial Regional Center) Zones of Prince George's County.

Background

This bill will amend the Commercial Table of Uses as to the requirements for hotels or motel in general," currently a permitted use in the C-S-C (Commercial Shopping Center) Zones of the County, to require approval of a detailed site plan in accordance with Division 9, Part 3 of the Zoning Ordinance.

9/20/2016:  Prior to introduction, CB-49-2016 (DR-2) was amended on the floor as follows:

1.                     On Page 1, in Line 2, strike “C-S-C Zone” and insert “Hotels or Motels in Commercial Zones” in lieu thereof.

2.                     On Page 1, in Line 4, strike “Zone” and insert “, C-M (Commercial Miscellaneous), and C-R-C (Commercial Regional Center) Zones” in lieu thereof.

3.  On Page 2, in Section 27-461(b)(6)(A),  add Footnote 22 as applicable to “Hotel or motel in general” uses in the C-M and C-R-C Zones.
