A RESOLUTION CONCERNING SPENDING AFFORDABILITY LIMITS FOR THE WASHINGTON SUBURBAN SANITARY COMMISSION for the purpose of establishing spending control limits on the Fiscal Year 2026 Water and Sewer Operating and Capital Budgets of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC).

 

Background

This resolution establishes Spending Affordability Limits for the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission on the Fiscal Year 2026 Water and Sewer Operating and Capital Budgets of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC).  The Prince George's County Council and the Montgomery County Council have reviewed the information compiled by the staff relating to spending control limits on the percentage of water and sewer increase; new debt; debt service and operating expenditures; and the spending control limits for WSSC’s FY 2026 Capital and Operating Budgets were discussed on October 8, 2024, by the County Council Sitting as the Committee of the Whole, and on October 10, 2024, by the Transportation, Infrastructure, Energy and Environment Committee.
