Title A Resolution concerning the State of Maryland Neighborhood and Community Assistance Program for the purpose of expressing approval of the project submitted by Legal Aid Bureau, Inc., to the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development for participation in the Department’s Community Investment Tax Credit Program Background Legal Aid Bureau, Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Baltimore, Maryland, is applying to the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development for approval of the Housing Crisis Legal Assistance Project for participation in the Community Investment Tax Credit Program. Legal Aid Bureau, Inc. is seeking tax credit allocations in the amount of $50,000.00 to support its efforts to provide free legal assistance to low-income residents who are at-risk of losing their affordable housing due to eviction or foreclosure in Baltimore City, Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties in targeted Priority Funding areas. The State of Maryland requires local legislative support for participation in the Program.
