AN ACT CONCERNING AMENDMENT OF SECTION 815, CHARTER OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY for the purpose of proposing an amendment to Section 815 of the Charter of Prince George's County to provide that during any fiscal year, no agency of County government may exceed the number of positions for that agency as approved in the operating budget without the prior approval of the Council.

 

Background

This bill proposes an amendment to Section 815 of the Charter of Prince George's County to remove the requirement that during any fiscal year, no agency of County government may exceed the number of positions, by grade, as approved in the operating budget without the prior approval of the Council.  As amended, no agency of County government may exceed the overall number of positions.
