Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING FOR BETTER UTILITY BILLS for the purpose of directing the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission to study the benefits and challenges of master planning for utility use beyond the current processes and provide a report to the County Council with recommendations on the implementation of energy infrastructure planning.

Background

This resolution directs the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission to study the benefits and challenges of master planning for utility use beyond the current processes and provide a report to the County Council with recommendations on the implementation of energy infrastructure planning. Such planning will allow the County to further its energy policy and economic development goals, increase its energy resilience, and stabilize utility pricing over the long term.
